I haven’t thought much about hot dogs since my formative years in Brooklyn when we’d go to Coney Island for family outings. Memories come to mind of their famous grilled dogs with sauerkraut and spicy brown mustard served with crinkle-cut fries.
In reality, however, I’m more of an Italian sausage aficionado, dreaming of a sandwich heaped with sauteed peppers and onions. Now with the opening of Jojo’s Grill-A-Dog in Yucaipa, it’s time to revisit the hot dog scene.
Owned by Ryan Molnar, a more than four decade-long Yucaipa resident, and his wife, Charity, along with Jason Tang and his wife, Heather, Jojo’s offers a simple yet ingenious way of re-inventing the dog, replete with a wide selection of choices for your own toppings.
